Military Veterans: Your Experience is Needed in the Trade Professions

After serving time in our nation’s armed forces, many military veterans return home and wonder, “What’s next?”

It is important to honor our veterans with a clear answer.

If you or someone you love is walking this path right now, we have great news.

The Build Your Future campaign has partnered with The National Center for Construction Education and Research to award military veterans with nationally recognized credentials that improve employability in the trade professions.

The best part about this program is that the credentials awarded are absolutely free.

NCCER credentials vary by branch and specialty. Possibilities include core electrical, sustainable construction, safety technology, technical engineering and more.

To explore the full credentials offered by NCCER, visit veterans.byf.org, click Credentials Explained, and select your military branch.

Ready to apply? Here’s how the process works.

  1. Visit veterans.byf.org
  2. Select your branch from the home page.
  3. You will be redirected to an application page asks for information about your military service and specialties. You will be required to provide supporting documentation, such as an Enlisted Records Brief or a letter from your commanding officer.
  4. It will take 4-6 weeks for your application to be processed, after which time you will receive documentation of credentials.

On behalf of all of us here at Build Your Future Arizona, thank you for your service to the United States of America and especially our great state. We value your sacrifice, commitment to serve, and technical skill experience. If you so choose, we are excited to welcome you into a high salary, high demand career in the trade professions.
