Arizona has offered a strong construction industry for years, and the end of 2020 and 2021 are slated for just that. Discover the construction projects you need to know about in 2020 and learn how you can begin a career that leaves a legacy for future generations—just by joining the trades.

1. The Cave Buttes Dam

More than three years in the making for SSC Underground, the Cave Buttes Dam Auxiliary Outlet Tunnel, located in North Phoenix, will protect more than one million Arizonans from flooding. This 14-month project, which is expected to be completed in June 2021, will protect the dam by allowing quicker drainage through this 932-ft. underground tunnel, as well as controlling flow with the use of hydraulic gates and new intake and outlet structures

2. The Cavasson Office Development

Build Your Future Arizona (BYFAZ) partner, DP Electric, is proud to be part of the development team constructing the new 460,000-square-foot building at Cavasson in Scottsdale, Arizona. The five-story facility is highly designed and beautifully landscaped with tremendous visibility and easy access from the 101. The project is part of the initial phase of development at Cavasson. At full completion, the 134-acre, mixed-use development will include approximately 1.8 million square feet of market-leading commercial office space, 1600 multifamily residences, a hotel, retail and restaurants, and substantial infrastructure improvements in and around the project. The building is anticipated to be completed and ready for occupancy in late 2020.

3. Paseo at Pinnacle Peak

Brewer Companies and Lennar are teaming up to bring North Scottsdale its newest residential sub-division. This sub-division will transform raw land, located in Pinnacle Peak, into 55 safe and modern homes for Arizona families. The build provides jobs to nearly 100 tradespeople, giving them an opportunity to work within their craft and earn a living, taking care of their family’s needs. In fact, the construction project is estimated to produce over $3.1 million dollars of take-home wages to those tradespeople.
